The three cleanser types that immediately spring to mind are cream, foam and gel. To my knowledge, there isn’t much that created outside of these typical boxes. Enter the Biologi BC Refresh Cleanser – a serum disguised as a cleanser.
I was quite convinced when I first tried this cleanser that I didn’t like it. The consistency was a little strange, I wasn’t sure that I felt completely cleansed and the smell of it was a little odd to me.
The formula is packed with nourishing actives that wash away impurities to leave skin fresh, clean and clear. I didn’t quite grasp it at first, it’s quite literally serum cleanser containing only the untouched power of soapberry extract – it’s a world first, only one ingredient!
The consistency takes a bit to get used to (image below) but it saw me through a particularly difficult vitamin c outbreak. I also noticed that if I did micellar water my skin after using this, nothing extra came off on the pad, so it was cleaning my skin extremely well.

It’s $62 for 150ml and available directly from the Biologi website and other retailers like Adore beauty. I’m not sure that I would necessarily purchase it again, I liked the results on my skin but I didn’t like the experience of using the product.
I don’t typically like to spend over $30 on a cleanser, when I could easily find something less expensive that delivers similar, if not the same, results. I prefer to spend the extra money on products which actually seep into my skin, more so than a cleanser which essentially just gets washed down the drain.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read this post, a serum disguised as a cleanser.
Until next time,
Melissa Jayne
