If you’re on a mission to find a beautiful, refreshing everyday perfume scent that is reasonably priced then I have just the one for you.

I have recently been on a mission to kill the Insta-girl expectation of having 8-26 perfumes on the go at any one time. I am doing my best to curate my collection as much as possible, and in doing so have finished up this Ouai Melrose place perfume.

Ouai say that Melrose Place is a velvety rich rose fragrance inspired by one of the coolest areas in LA. They say it’s infused with hints of a verified instagram account (HAHA), valet parking. bergamot, lychee, cedar-wood and white musk.

• Top notes: Champagne, Pink Peppercorn, Berry, and Lychee.
• Middle Notes: Peony, Rose, Freesia, Jasmine, and Bergamot.
• Base Notes: Amber, Sandalwood, White Musk, and Cedar-wood.

My favourite thing about the scent is that is lovely and light. It’s a bit citrusy, a bit fruity and a bit floral so all things good. Plus, the lid is magnetic to the glass bottle so putting the lid back on is a really fun time. You can grab it from Sephora and it’s only $86 for 50ml, you can also get the travel version to pop in your handbag for only $31 for 10ml.

I did love the scent while I used it, but I have plenty of other bottles I want to get through and wouldn’t rush back to grab this one. It is an EDP (Eau De Parfum) but I didn’t find it to be a strong scent and definitely didn’t find it to be long lasting, which is something I want in a signature scent. So for that reason I wouldn’t repurchase it.
