I don’t tend to pay much attention to lip products, unlike many of my peers. I suppose it’s because growing up, my mum never used lipsticks so I never adapted them to my makeup routine either. However now, at the ripe old age of 26, I have found the best of both worlds, the best nourishing tinted lip balm.
Lanolips are an Australian owned brand who love lanolin so much, they use it all their products. Lanolin is a deeply moisturising oil that is a natural substance in sheep’s wool. Humanely (and cruelty-free) sourced from Australian sheep farmers.
Their Tinted Lanolin Lip Balm is the best, most nourishing and pigmented lip balm I’ve ever used. Most lip balms don’t have a pigment, and if they do the pigment isn’t great, or the pigment is great but the balmy hydration isn’t there. Not only does this balm give you the most beautiful colour and gloss but also keeps your lips feeling hydrated and nourished for hours.
Let me hit you with some facts:
- It’s key ingredients are lanolin and shea butter which both work to deeply nourish, hydrate and even plump dry lips.
- It has SPF30 in it. So wearing this gorgeous balm literally protects your lips from damaging UVA & UBA rays.
- It doesn’t have any parabens, artificial fragrances, petrolatum, mineral oil or sulphates in the formula.
I don’t find it leaves my lips feeling sticky and gross (but does get stuck in your hair when the wind changes). If the Rhubarb isn’t your vibe like it is mine, they also have Nectar, Rose, Nude and the classic Lanolin lip balms options.
It’s so easily accessible, you can find it at places like Priceline, Mecca Maxima, Adore Beauty and Sephora for only $14.95. Which is a bargain for a long lasting, hydrating product that has SPF30 in it.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read this post, the best nourishing tinted lip balm.
Until next time,
Melissa Jayne
