Have you ever finished a shampoo and conditioner at the same time? I literally just finished the best shampoo and conditioner duo to achieve soft hair at the same time — simply unheard of!
I have always been a fan of supermarket haircare products and never really saw the benefit in using the more expensive salon products. Around two years ago I decided to lighten my hair from black to my natural hair colour, which is a light brown/dark blonde.
So you can see from these images above that my hair was incredibly dark. After my first hair appointment where we began to lighten my hair, my hairdresser would not let me leave until I had ordered a better shampoo and conditioner than what I was using.
My instructions were that I needed to pick a product which would moisturise my hair. Using bleach on my hair to lighten it was obviously drying my hair out and I would need to inject moisture back into it. So I opted to try the Redken all soft shampoo and conditioner, due to its accessibility and affordability. They also ticked my hairdressers boxes as they are designed to promote softness, ease detangling and replenish moisture.
Taking a deep dive into each, Redken say that the all soft shampoo is enriched with argan oil. It is 300ml and works to gently cleanse and soften dry, brittle hair. Hair is left feeling soft, shiny and more manageable.
The conditioner, is 250ml in comparison to the shampoo size of 300ml. Redken say that the moisturising and hair softening conditioner enriched with argan oil. Hair is instantly detangled and replenished with moisture and shine
The products are available at selected hair salons and online retailers like Oz Hair and Beauty and Adore Beauty and are roughly between $20-$30 each. They occasionally go on sale at Chemist Warehouse and some retailers sell them in a duo pack for a bit less.
These are my favourite haircare products that I have tried in many, many years. After using these products for a long while, my hair is softer, stronger and feels so much healthier than it has with other products. I understand now after all this time, why salon products are better for the overall health of your hair.
I repurchase the set of the two of these whenever I can feel that I’m starting to run low. If you’re looking for a set of haircare products that are great value, work to better the health of your hair and are easily accessible to you definitely consider giving these a go.
