I have a love affair with the Alpha H Liquid Gold, so it was only natural to me, when looking for a new daily moisturiser that I would turn to Alpha H. However this hydrator gel didn’t turn out to be my favourite form of hydration.
After doing some research, I settled on this Alpha-H Clear Skin Daily Hydrator Gel as it is said to hydrate and balance, whilst minimising the spread of bacteria. I was at the stage where I was just about to change up my birth control and was worried how my skin would react. I was basically wanting a product that would stop any potential breakouts whilst keeping my skin feeling hydrated.
Unfortunately, this isn’t as fabulous as the Liquid Gold. I would say that it did help my skin feel hydrated, however it has aloe vera in it. When I initially read this, I assumed that would make the product feel really cooling and soothing. However when I started using it, I realised that just normal aloe vera gel leaves your skin feeling sticky, this gel also does the same. I don’t love feeling sticky so for that reason I won’t be repurchasing.
I think that I prefer a serum to inject hydration into my skin rather than a gel. It did feel a little unnatural to use a gel and then layer a moisturiser on top.
Its $24.95, so fairly reasonably priced. Anyone with oily skin would get on with this a lot more than I did. My skin is only oily on my forehead and nose, so probably would’ve worked better if I used it only on those areas, however I don’t have the patience for that.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this hydrator gel didn’t turn out to be my favourite form of hydration.
Until next time,
